LISA GALLAGHER, a supporter of former President Donald Trump denounced, during an interview on Fox News, that after expressing her support for the Republican on Facebook, FBI agents came to her home in New Jersey.
She explained that it happened at night and she was afraid of the situation. She highlighted that she believes the action is intended to intimidate her because of her political views.
“I was terrified. I’ll be honest with you, when my daughter woke me up telling me there were three armed FBI officers at my door, I thought she was joking. I immediately tried to throw [on] clothes. I called my husband, I was crying, my knees were shaking. And even though I knew I had done nothing wrong, after seeing Joe Biden’s speech the night before, I thought, ‘Oh my God, this is political,'” Gallagher said during a conversation on Tucker Carlson Tonight.
She detailed that the agents explained to her that the visit had occurred because they had received a call claiming that Lisa Gallagher was in The Capitol during the events of January 6, for which the former Republican president is being investigated.
“I was frightened. I truly thought they can take me out of here in handcuffs. I went outside. I said gentlemen, you are scaring me. And they proceeded to tell me they were given an anonymous tip that I was at the Capitol on January 6th… I invited them into my home to look at my phone and calendar. I have subsequently called the FBI office in Newark to document or know for sure that it really was FBI agents at my home. It was. They said it was an anonymous tip, but they won’t tell me anything else,” she commented.
Speech against Trump supporters
The situation comes after Joe Biden gave a speech where he divided American society. Two weeks ago, President Biden assured that the opposition to his government is a danger to democracy, after having called members of the GOP and followers of former President Trump semi-fascists.
“Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the foundations of our Republic,” Biden said emphatically.
