Senator Lindsey Graham addressed the attacks on Donald Trump and warned that there would be riots in the country if former President Donald Trump is prosecuted after the raid on his Florida Mar-a-Lago residence.
“Most Republicans —including me— believe when it comes to Trump, there is no law. It’s all about getting him,” the Republican said on Fox News.
“There is a double standard when it comes to Trump,” he said, stressing that there would still be protests in the country if a similar procedure were taken against any former president. He commented that he is concerned about the political situation in the US.

“Look at what happened to Hunter Biden. They gave him a complete pass, apparently. And social media outlets in this country suppressed information that could have mattered. And if they try to prosecute President Trump for mishandling classified information after Hillary Clinton set up a server in her basement —there literally will be riots in the Street,” he added.
Proceedings against Trump
Graham’s statement comes when Mike Pence called on Republicans not to attack the FBI over the proceedings against Trump. Pence assured “Our party stands with the men and women who stand on the thin blue line at the federal and state and local level, and these attacks on the F.B.I. must stop. Calls to defund the F.B.I. are just as wrong as calls to defund the police.”
After the FBI raided Donald Trump’s residence in Mar-a-Lago (Florida), several politicians questioned the agency’s actions. However, the criticism has not only come from Republicans. Even Democrats, such as the former governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, also condemned the situation.
