The Student Action Summit (SAS) 2022, organized by Turning Point USA, began this Friday in Tampa, Florida. At the event, the Republican Senator for Texas, Ted Cruz, gave a speech in defense of freedom and against the leftist ideas that have gained ground within the Democratic Party.
He asserted that America is in crisis and its citizens are challenged to address the progressive agenda within American society. “We are gathered at a time of extraordinary challenge. I want to say two things to you today: the first is America is in crisis (…) we have a president who shakes hand with the empty air (…) the Democratic Party has lost its mind,” Cruz said.
He also mocked gender ideology. “I’m Ted Cruz, and my pronoun is… ‘kiss my ass,'” he commented, generating applause and laughter from the event attendees.
Ted Cruz on the Biden Administration
He referred to Joe Biden’s administration and highlighted that everything he is doing is going wrong. He highlighted the economic and social crisis that Americans are facing during the Democratic administration. He also made an ironic comment on the recent video of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who was forced to leave a demonstration.
“Every single thing they touch goes bad, we have prices skyrocketing, food prices are skyrocketing. It is so bad out there that Antifa can’t afford bricks. It so bad AOC can’t afford fake handcuffs,” Cruz said.
Cruz also criticized the Democratic Party and those who promote progressive ideas for defending and not questioning the attack on the Supreme Court justices. “This is the result of the left encouraging mob violence, celebrating mob violence, celebrating threats at the home of Supreme Justice.”
