A private school in New York, Trinity School, placed its director of student activities on paid leave and hired outside counsel after videos were released in which she admits to pushing progressive ideas in the classroom. In addition, in the videos, the teacher disparages about white children at the school.

The director is Jennifer “Ginn” Norris, and she became the focus of attention after Project Veritas published videos of her talking about politics. National Review had access to an email that Trinity School’s principal sent to the school community and detailed that the administration did not authorize the activities Norris was pushing at the school.

“While the circumstances surrounding the recordings are deeply disturbing, and we are profoundly troubled by the reprehensible way Ms. Norris and our school community were targeted, we are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness. Importantly, the sentiments expressed in the video do not reflect the mission or values of Trinity School,” the statement says.

National Review reported that when “asked if there is any saving white Republican boys, Norris replied: ‘I don’t know. I think they need to go. I think they’re really awful people. That’s kind of what I’m afraid of with my white students that are rich. I’m like — do you ever have to deal with this? They’re so protected by capitalism. It makes me sad.'”

In the videos released by Project Veritas, Norris is also seen assuring that she can bring guest speakers to the school twice a week and maintained that she made it clear to her boss that she would maintain her 100 percent Democratic position to the students.

“If they want to do that [bring Republican speakers], then somebody else has to do it. Because — not on my watch, I guess”, she said.

School investigates the events

The school called the situation difficult and insisted they will remain and investigation into the events. “This is a profoundly difficult moment, but we remain determined to model our conduct on our inspiring mission and the ideals of respect, belonging, and open inquiry that are embedded in it,” the Trinity School statement said.
