ALFONSO AGUILAR continues to make waves with his El American’s Aguilar Opina, which airs every Sunday at 7 p. m. ET. In this episode, Aguilar talk about the consequences of the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” signed a few weeks ago by President Biden.

Aguilar discusses this topic with Orlando Avendaño, co-editor-in-chief of El American, and Jorge Bonilla, director of MRC Latino. In addition, he spoke with Senator Ron Johnson about the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s home.

Inflation Reduction Act – Aguilar Speaks Out

On the Inflation Reduction Act, Alfonso Aguilar spoke with Jorge Bonilla and Orlando Avendaño. All three agreed that this bill will not benefit the American economy.

“The corporate press has recently become the mouthpieces of the Democratic Party. Unfortunately, it has uncritically repeated these White House statements, even though they are fantasy. Economists themselves have questioned the inflationary effect of this bill. This bill is really a version of Biden’s Build Back Better bill. This is a farce,” Jorge Bonilla said.

Orlando Avendaño also explained that the media has not addressed the consequences of this economic plan, pushed by Biden and the Democrats, as they should.

“This is not going to have a positive effect in the short term and probably will not have a positive effect in the long term either. It’s troubling how this discussion has transcended because it hasn’t developed the way it should. The law itself is devastating for the American economy and is going to generate the opposite effect,” Avendaño pointed out.

The FBI persecuting Trump

Regarding the Mar-a-Lago raid, Senator Ron Johnson said that this procedure affects U.S. democracy and has been used for political purposes.

He highlighted that the situation will lead to a review of U.S. investigative agencies. “This is an unsustainable situation in our democracy, where we have a three-tier justice system,” he said, while indicating that in other cases the same has not been done.

He also referred to his electoral race for reelection as senator of Wisconsin. He commented that his opponent, Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes, has socialist ideas and recalled that he has the support of radical leftists such as Bernie Sanders.

“He’s a radical leftist […] obviously he’s going to hide all the previous statements he’s made supporting all the disastrous policies, for example, open borders and supporting all the spending extensions that has led to 8.5% inflation,” Johnson said.

He further added, “He holds the most radical positions and is so out of touch with the vast majority of Wisconsinites. My problem is that the complicit and corrupt media will cover him up, just as they are covering President Biden up.”

He assured that, as senator, he has watched over the welfare of citizens and the economic growth of Americans. “My bill has transformed lives and helped people get good, high-paying jobs and show them the dignity of earning their own success. I’m very proud of my record and it’s a very clear choice for Wisconsin. Someone who loves this country versus someone who said the founding of America was horrible,” Johnson highlighted in Aguilar Opina.
