The results of two new polls that favor Mehmet Oz have been released just days before the debate between him and John Fetterman. After months of lagging behind his opponent, one of the new polls places the celebrity doctor tied with the current lieutenant governor, while the other places him directly ahead.

According to the latest InsiderAdvantage/FOX 29 poll, both Senate candidates in Pennsylvania are tied at 46%.

“Oz is also picking an unusually high 14% of the African American vote and Asians and Hispanics prefer Oz say they are voting for Oz by a wide margin. Fetterman continues to enjoy a ten-point lead among female voters, while men prefer Oz at that same rate,” explained Matt Towery, president of InsiderAdvantage.

Moreover, according to Real Clear Politics, the race is at its most competitive point since they began measuring it in July of this year.

The other poll was conducted by Wick. With a sample of 1,013 likely voters who were approached between October 9 and 13, the results showed Oz winning by 4.5%.

“We’ve always thought this race was a two or three-point race, and everybody else has finally come to join us on that conclusion,” said Robert Cahaly, founder and senior strategist at Trafalgar, speaking to The Daily Wire.

Oz moved into the lead in the political stakes for the first time

Another not minor fact is that Oz is also the favorite in political betting, where he took the lead for the first time since the race began. In other words, those people who risk money trying to guess the outcome of the election believe that the Republican candidate will emerge as the winner in Pennsylvania.

“Dr. Oz has a reasonable chance and his narrowing up the race cannot be denied it is very clear that Pennsylvania has become a lot more competitive than where it once was,” stated Ethan Kelly, a popular election analyst on YouTube.

“is getting close to being where it was back in 2016. when Katie McGinty was defeating Pat Toomey in the polls by two points across the state Pat Toomey ultimately ended up winning by 1.6 percent,” he added on the subject.

The candidates will face off in a debate on October 25. The Oz campaign has been looking forward to this for months and sees it as an opportunity to finally pull away from Fetterman in the polls.
