Argentinian six-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi has agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
The ex-Barcelona star will take a private flight from Barcelona to Paris and will arrive in the French capital in the next few hours.
He is expected to undergo a medical checkup this afternoon at the American hospital in Neuilly and then sign a two-year contract with an optional contract.
Jorge Messi confirms
Jorge Messi, father and representative of Leo Messi, confirmed this Tuesday before boarding a private flight to Paris.
Upon his arrival at El Prat airport, Jorge Messi answered with a laconic “yes” when asked by a journalist from Atresmedia if his son was going to sign for the Parisian team today.
And when asked who was responsible for Leo Messi not finally renewing his contract with Barcelona, he annoyingly replied several times with “check with the club, ask the club.”
Finally, the player’s representative responded with another question when asked if his son was leaving the Catalan capital feeling sad.
“Haven’t you seen him?”, he replied bluntly, thus recalling Messi’s farewell press conference, in which the ’10’ acknowledged between sobs that his desire was to continue at Camp Nou.
