A SERIES of tweets posted Monday suggest that the masterminds behind “Miami Against Fascism” —an anonymous far-left Twitter account that has defamed and harassed Florida Republicans, including mothers who oppose sexual indoctrination of children in schools — are allegedly Democrats Jenny Lee Molina and Sonia Diaz. Both are marketing and public relations specialists in Miami, Florida.

The revelation is important because the anonymous Twitter account was cited numerous times by the Miami Herald, The Miami New Times, and The New York Times. Diaz and Molina also have ties to the Democrat Party establishment, big business, and non-profit groups.

Miami Against Fascism‘ numerous attacks on conservatives

The anonymous account argues that it is dedicated to “exposing Miami’s far right.” Yet, it has been directing constant social media attacks on organizations such as Moms for Liberty, whose members fight to prevent the indoctrination of children in schools nationwide.

For example, ‘Miami Against Fascism’ — which uses images of the extremist group Antifa — referred to Moms for Liberty as an “anti-LGBTQ hate group.” It has also led smear campaigns on social media, promoting mass censorship on Twitter against similar organizations.

The account has also labeled as “fascists” personalities and activists such as writer Christopher F. Rufo, who has taken to criticizing schools and companies that promote controversial woke material, such as Critical Race Theory, to their students and employees.

The account generally targets Republicans and conservatives, publishes information about them, and attempts to associate them with extremist groups, such as Proud Boys and QAnon. The account has singled out Governor Ron DeSantis, his press secretary Christina Pushaw, activist Alex Otaola and Congresswoman Mayra Flores as “radical far-right” personalities on social media.

Is there funding behind ‘Miami Against Fascism‘?

For months, political observers have speculated about who is funding the Twitter account. However, details have just begun to emerge that point to ‘Miami Against Fascism‘ as part of an elaborate effort to smear the GOP in South Florida thanks to its ties to public relations companies.

It’s unclear who is funding the ‘Miami Against Fascism‘ account —if there is such funding — but as the group ‘Miami Young Republicans’ pointed out this morning, one of the account’s alleged administrators, Sonia Diaz, was a senior vice president at the Democratic PR firm Balsera Communications.

Diaz also represents the George Soros-backed effort to take over 18 Hispanic radio stations, including Radio Mambi in Miami.

Democratic PR firm involved?

Diaz claims on her LinkedIn profile that she left Balsera Communications earlier this year, suggesting that her alleged involvement with the account, which opened in July 2021 according to Twitter, may have coincided with her time at the firm.

Diaz’s photo continues to appear in the “Clients” section of the website of Balsera Communications, which highlights her ties and associations with former President Barack Obama’s campaign, Banco Popular, the DNC, United Healthcare, and the Florida Department of Transportation. Last April, Balsera Communication founder Freddy Balsera bragged on Twitter about his firm’s work for MLS soccer team Inter Miami CF.

El American could not confirm whether Balsera Communications was aware of Diaz’s alleged relationship with ‘Miami Against Fascism.’ Nor is El American suggesting or claiming that the firm’s clients knew of or support the content published by the account allegedly being run by Diaz and Molina.

However, Balsera Communications also employs Julio Ligorría, a self-described “disinformation analyst” who has amplified the ‘Miami Against Fascism‘ account.

Strangely, during the day, Ligorría made his Twitter account private, blocking access to his tweets for those who do not follow him. However, he made it public again in the afternoon.

Ligorría’s partisan comments on alleged “disinformation” published in the Spanish media appeared on MSNBC in June. As highlighted by ‘Miami Young Republicans,’ Ligorría was recently spotted taking a selfie with DNC member Tomás Kennedy, a socialist and pro-Castro political activist from Florida.

Too obvious?

The Twitter user (@xposingMAF) who allegedly unmasked ‘Miami Against Fascism‘ explained on Twitter they were able to link the account to Molina and Diaz by analyzing similarities in tweets and posts on other social networks.

For example, when Molina announced on Instagram that she was taking a trip to Bali, the ‘Miami Against Fascism‘ account posted on Twitter that it was warning its followers that it might take a while to respond to messages over the next week.

The account also noted that Diaz could be heard “coaching” Molina during an interview with liberal filmmaker Billy Corben.

Molina, who is also a writer at the leftist Miami New Times newspaper, reportedly used her relationship at the outlet to secure media coverage for the Twitter account when it had fewer than 1,000 followers.

On her agency’s website, Molina notes that she lists RedBull, Pepsi, Ford, and Miami restaurants Lokal Miami and Kush Wynwood as clients.

“I would not be the least bit surprised if paid Democrat operatives are behind against this disgusting, far-left Twitter account,” said Miami Young Republicans president Armando Ibarra in an interview with El American. “This account does not represent our community’s values and has defamed mainstream conservative voices. The question is: who is paying them to do all of this? We need answers.”

Who knew?

El American contacted several of the entities represented by Medina and Diaz to ask if they were aware of the advertisers’ apparent ties to the controversial Twitter account.

At the time this article was published, none of them had responded to the questions we sent. Similarly, neither Diaz nor Molina have made public statements about their alleged ties to the account.

We will update this report as new details emerge.
