House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Tuesday that she will run for re-election to Congress. It would be her 19th term.
“While we have made progress much more needs to be done to improve people’s lives. This election is crucial: nothing less is at stake than our Democracy,” she said on Twitter.

Reuters news agency contacted Pelosi’s team to find out if she will try to keep the presidency of Congress. However, they got no reply. A personal assistant told the media that Pelosi is not available to answer questions because she is on a “mission.”
