On Thursday, the Republican Party accused Democrats of creating “a political circus” by holding the first public hearing of the committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on Capitol Hill, which was broadcast during prime time.
Republican National Committee Communications Director, Danielle Alvarez, said in a statement that Americans want Congress to focus on “more pressing crises,” including record gas prices and inflation, not on a political circus during prime time.
She also accused President Joe Biden and his party of creating the crises that are now hurting Americans’ wallets.
The committee hearing was broadcast live at 8 p.m. local time (00.00 GMT Friday) on all networks except Fox News.
