Republicans Demand FBI Clarify Allegations of Cover-Up for Hunter and Joe Biden

As the days go by, new revelations come to light that would show how the FBI would have become a political tool that played in favor of Hunter and Joe Biden to hide information and thus prevent incriminating data from damaging the campaign of the now president of the United States.

The departure of FBI agent Timothy Thibault from the bureau has been a clear red flag that the agency served to try to bury information about Hunter Biden by labeling it “Russian disinformation.” Now it is known that Thibault would have not only paused investigations related to Hunter Biden and his foreign business dealings but also decided to hide one of the main witnesses in the case.

Republican Party senators criticized the FBI as politically biased because Timothy Thibault never followed up on the statements made by Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Tony Bobulinski, who reported that Joe Biden was the “big guy” of Hunter’s business dealings abroad.

According to the revelations, the FBI decided to remove Bobulinski and not to take him into account for the case investigations, even though he would be a “point man” because he had connected Joe Biden with his son’s businesses. However, the current president assures that when he was VP, he was never part of the business conversations with his son or associates.

As time passed, it has come to light that Joe Biden met regularly with his son’s business associates during his vice presidency, and, on some occasions, Hunter Biden joined his father aboard Air Force Two for official travel. It is unclear to what extent Hunter and his father exchanged money for overseas business.

Bobulinski alleged a month before the 2020 election that Joe Biden was involved in his son Hunter and his brother Jim’s dealings with Chinese energy company CEFC, which allegedly paid the Biden’s $4.8 million in 2017 and 2018. However, despite these explosive statements, he was not taken into account by the FBI to investigate the case.

“Unfortunately, Tony Bobulinski’s first-hand eyewitness testimony regarding President Biden’s knowledge of Hunter Biden’s compromising web of foreign financial entanglements, especially with the Chinese, was not only ignored by the media, but also by the FBI,” senator Ron Johnson said to the New York Post.

“The suppression and censoring of his testimony and Hunter’s influence peddling impacted the 2020 election to a far greater extent than anything Russia or China could have ever achieved,” Johnson said.

How the FBI allegedly withheld information on behalf of Hunter and Joe Biden

The top Republican on the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Charles Grassley, wrote in late July to FBI chief Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland about multiple “highly credible informants” who denounced the “burying of verified and verifiable dirt” on Hunter by falsely dismissing valid intelligence as “disinformation.”

“In October 2020, an avenue of additional derogatory Hunter Biden reporting was ordered closed at the direction of ASAC Thibault … [when] all of the reporting was either verified or verifiable via criminal search warrants,” Grassley wrote.

“Thibault allegedly ordered the matter closed without providing a valid reason as required by FBI guidelines … [and] subsequently attempted to improperly mark the matter in FBI systems so that it could not be opened in the future.”

For his part, Bobulinski never testified before the grand jury convened by Weiss last year, even though he would have firsthand information about the president’s son’s business dealings.

“It seems inexplicable that Bobulinski —who met twice with Joe Biden in 2017 over the CEFC deal and provided information that corroborates damning material on Hunter’s laptop— is not a star witness, especially since the FBI has been in possession of the laptop since December 2019, and knows it is authentic,” questions Miranda Devine of the New York Post.

“In the interests of national security, it was the FBI’s duty to investigate credible evidence suggesting the future president may have been compromised by China via millions of dollars paid to his family (…)The FBI’s failure to do so amounts to interference-by-omission in the 2020 election,” she concluded.
