Dick Morris worked with Bill Clinton during his time as governor, then on his 1996 campaign, and was even one of the people closest to him during part of his time in the White House. Recently, he slipped that Hillary may be warming up for a 2024 run.

Speaking to John Catsimatidis on his radio show, Morris made a statement that shook the Democratic political world. “I see more and more signs that Hillary’s going to run,” he said, noting that the two-time presidential candidate could catapult her name on the Southern Border issue.

Hillary Clinton for president in 2024?

“These are all signals that she is going to be the moderate candidate for president. She’s going to say after the election, ‘See, the left cost us the House and the Senate. If we stay with a left-wing candidate in 2024, we’re going to lose the White House. I’m the only one who will tack to the center and give us a chance at victory,'” Morris added.

In turn, the strategist pointed out that Hillary is following to the letter the “playbook” she wrote for her husband many years ago.

Morris also indicated that one of the factors that could attract likely Democratic voters to Clinton is the rise of more progressive candidates around 2024, such as Elizabeth Warren, Gavin Newson, Bernie Sanders, and even Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“That’s going to drive the Democratic Party leaders to go to Hillary and say, ‘Hey look. Please run again. We need you to save us from the crazy left.’ Otherwise, we’ll have Sanders as our candidate. We’ll lose Congress by a ton, and we’ll get wiped out in the presidential race,” Dick Morris concluded.

The truth is that some Democrats sense, despite insisting to the contrary, that Joe Biden will not seek reelection in 2024. In this context, Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, among others, have flirted with the idea of a possible candidacy.
