Former President Donald Trump will support Florida Senator Marco Rubio in his re-election campaign, according to his Political Action Committee (PAC) Save America.
Trump highlighted the work done by the senator and highlighted Rubio’s defense of the Second Amendment, which guarantees the right to bear arms, as well as the fight he has deployed for veterans, the Armed Forces and for “all the forgotten men and women of the United States.”
“Together we’ve worked closely with the Cuban and Venezuelan communities, and we have made great progress.”
During his tenure (2017-2021), Marco Rubio pushed the Trump administration’s approach to U.S. policy toward Latin America, with special attention to Cuba and Venezuela.
Senator for Florida
Similarly, the former president recalled that Rubio, while he was chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said during the investigations into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election that “President Trump was in no way involved with Russia.”
The senator thanked Trump for the endorsement and highlighted the former president’s leadership on big issues like “the threat from China” or boosting jobs: “Democrats are trying to undo everything we accomplished over the last four years, but I will continue to fight for the forgotten men and women of this country and deliver results for Florida’s working families.”
