Twitter Suspends an LGBT Account that Fights Against Child Sexualization

UPDATE, 18:07 ET: The ‘Gays Against Groomers’ account was restored past 18:00 ET. According to the profile, “Literally have no idea how we’re back. Maybe a bit of damage control going on at Twitter HQ? We don’t think supporting child predators is the hill to die on, either.” Also, the group announced an interview with host Tucker Carlson.

This August 17th, Twitter suspended the account Gays Against Groomers, a group that directly opposes “the sexualization and indoctrination of children,” according to its website.

The group denounced that the suspension was permanent and, in the absence of official confirmation, some media speculate that the ban is because Twitter considers the term “groomer,” a word used to refer to pedophiles, an insult.

The group created a backup account, called ‘Gays Against Broomers backup,’ where they denounced the suspension of their original account and deliberately avoided using the word “groomer.”

“We created this account the same day we made our main one in June. We knew that our time here was limited, as big tech openly protects child predators.” Gays Against Groomers denounced from its back-up account. “It really is wild, though that Twitter banned an LGBT organization. The absolute state of 2022.”

From the profile ‘Gays Against Broomers backup’, the group asked “Did Twitter just openly admit they support the sexualization of children?” with the suspension of their old account.

Gays Against Groomers gets public backing

After the group was banned, multiple users began denouncing the permanent suspension of the account and criticizing Twitter for its crusade against political dissent.

“Gays Against Groomers was permanently banned from Twitter. The left hates nothing more than when gays or minorities speak out against their insane belief system. In their mind, they own these groups and any who speak out must be silenced so no others are emboldened to speak out”, tweeted Cuban-American director Robby Starbuck.

Landon Starbuck, the wife of the director, also came out in support of the account fighting against child sexualization: “Gays Against Groomers were fighting harder to protect kids than many activist groups I know. I support their consistent advocacy and will help amplify their message. I don’t care if they ban me for it.”

“@TwitterSupport bans a group of gay and trans people trying to protect children, while the people who are openly, illegally giving drugs to kids are still here,” wrote Sara Higdon.
