FL Gov. Ron DeSantis and US Sen. Marco Rubio (both Republicans running for re-election) keep the lead in the midterm elections next November by a narrow margin, according to two surveys released on Wednesday.

A poll by the firm Susquehanna Polling & Research reveals that DeSantis, a rising figure within the GOP, has 47% of voting intentions against 43% of his Democratic challenger, Charlie Crist.

The difference of four percentage points falls within the 4.3% margin of error of this survey released today by the specialized portal RealClearPolitics, which also reports another study released in which the difference in favor of the current governor of Florida is even narrower.

The bipartisan survey conducted by the firms Fabrizio Ward and Impact Research for AARP, an organization focused on retirees and retirees, reveals that Crist, with 47% of the vote, is only three percentage points behind the Republican, who attracts the majority of the vote of people over 50 years old.

Crist, who last month won the Democratic nomination for Governor of this state after defeating Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried in the primary process, attracts the vote of African Americans, a group that with an overwhelming 78% opts for the Democrat, according to this study.

Marco Rubio

Another electoral battle of interest in the November mid-term elections will be the one between Senator Marco Rubio and Democrat Val Demings.

According to the Susquehanna Polling & Research study, the Cuban-born senator maintains a very narrow lead over Demings, with 47% of support compared to 44% for the Democrat, a difference that again falls within the 4.3% margin of error of this poll.

The result shows the Republican below 50 % of voting intention, as in the poll for AARP Florida, where Rubio has 49 % of votes against 47 % who say they would vote for the Democratic congresswoman.
