Robert Reich, who served as Secretary of Labor under Bill Clinton and is currently a professor of Public Policy at the University of California, called Ron DeSantis a “fascist.”

Just wondering if “DeSantis” is now officially a synonym for “fascist”, Reich wrote on his Twitter account. The comment received backlash from several social media users.
For example, Tim Young, a conservative activist and Washington Times columnist wrote: “That’s the best you’ve got? Isn’t this broken record getting old?”.

This is not the first controversy involving Reich, Fox News recalled that Reich “once called for Democrats to physically assault Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., for refusing to abolish the Senate’s filibuster, was slammed for his comments on Twitter.”

Reich’s attack on DeSantis came in the midst of Florida’s primary vote. DeSantis will face Democratic Rep. Charlie Crist in the general election in Florida.

Attacks on Ron DeSantis

Gov. Ron DeSantis has faced several attacks from left-wing activists and members of the Democratic Party. Just earlier this week it was revealed that The Florida Standard posted text messages sent to official cellular devices from the 13th Circuit State Attorney with plans to attack Governor Ron DeSantis.

The media outlet detailed that the messages show how Warren collaborated with the Democratic Party for political purposes. “In an email and text message sent to Warren and the previous state attorney communications director Grayson Kamm, the Florida Democratic Party announced plans to hold a series of post-primary press conferences around the state”.
