Although President Joe Biden decided to take a tough tone against China during his first speech to Congress, for some, his actions, 15 months later show that he is actually helping Beijing.

Republican Senator Marco Rubio wrote a column on Fox News Wednesday, August 3, in which he called China ‘the biggest threat’ facing the United States and asserted that Biden is ‘asleep’ letting the Asian nation get the better of him.

“Biden bragged that he told China’s Marxist dictator the United States ‘will defend America’s interests across the board.’ But 15 months later, it is increasingly clear the president’s policies are helping Beijing” notes Rubio’s hard-hitting column where he lays bare some actions that would be helping the Asian country.

“With Biden’s blessing, Senate Democrats will vote to give massive tax breaks for electric batteries, solar panels, and wind turbines manufactured in China,” recalls the senator who also stated that with the Green New Deal the Democrats would be implementing their green plan at the expense of benefiting Beijing.

“The communist regime produces more than 80 percent of the world’s solar-grade polysilicon and 76 percent of the globe’s electric battery production (…) In other words, Democrats believe America cannot go green without Beijing,” he pointed out.

“Communist China is the biggest threat facing our country, and Biden is asleep at the wheel. Whether because of weakness, incompetence, misplaced priorities, or all of the above, America is losing,” the senator sentenced.

Rubio is not the first to note that “America is losing” as China moves strongly ahead. The Asian nation leads the way in the theft of American intellectual property to the point where the country’s agricultural production could be seriously affected.

Now, in addition to China benefiting from the green technology trade thanks to the US, there is a real threat that it may also steal agricultural technology secrets that could threaten American food sovereignty.

Ross Kennedy, a logistics and supply chain analyst, told The Epoch Times that China could be preparing to steal American agricultural technologies and develop a version of its own, just as it has done with other items.

“China would be able to fill the country’s most basic needs while undercutting America, economically and diplomatically, in its pursuit for global leadership in agricultural production,” the specialist said.

“Most people don’t realize that you could steal some kernels of corn, or a few soybeans, and perpetuate a multibillion-dollar industrial espionage campaign,” he added.

If China were to succeed, then it could attempt to compete commercially with the United States in international agribusiness, also attacking American exports, and thus its economy.

“Officially, Chinese investment in U.S. farmland has ballooned more than 25 times from 13,720 acres to 352,140 acres between the decade of 2010 and 2020, according to a 2020 USDA report (pdf),” demonstrating that China is advancing on the U.S. while the Biden administration remains silent.

“I call its approach of economic espionage ‘rob, replicate and replace’. China robs U.S. companies of their intellectual property, replicates the technology and then replaces the U.S. firms in the global marketplace” John Ratcliffe, director of National Intelligence, warned in December 2020.

Obama and Biden gave China the green light

During the Obama administration that the Asian country managed to get closer to the United States and grow in its bad intentions. In contrast, in the 4 years of Trump, the visas of about 1,000 Chinese students and researchers suspected of espionage were revoked.

Obama maintained a permissive relationship with the Asian country without addressing the millionaire theft of intellectual property of American companies.

China stole, with unconventional methods, information, and intellectual property from American companies. For example, it relied on allied regimes that helped it become the commercial giant it is today.

FBI Director Christopher Wray claimed that the Chinese regime’s theft of American intellectual property resulted in one of the largest transfers of wealth in human history.

“China-related economic espionage cases have increased by approximately 1,300% in the last decade,” Wray claimed. ‘The FBI has more than 1,000 investigations into possible theft of American technology and approximately 1,000 more China-related intelligence investigations’ he sentenced.

China now threatens Taiwan and the U.S.

This week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi traveled to Taiwan to show American support for its independence, and following that visit the Chinese government decided to threaten “forceful” action.

Hua Chunying, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson extended the possibility of “disastrous consequences”. She further said that if Pelosi set foot on Taiwanese soil “the United States will pay the price.”

Now China is not only threatening the country with action over Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, but it is also unknown how much information the Asian country has on the United States and whether intellectual property theft and serious infiltrations over decades could now take their toll putting the economic and military might that the United States has maintained over the years at a disadvantage.
